This Privacy Policy explains how Infinite Token Labs ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the BitePad mobile application (the "App").

BitePad is a product operated and owned by Infinite Token Labs.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

BitePad collects only the information necessary to provide its core functionality.

This may include:

Account Information

  • Email address
  • Authentication credentials used to create and access your account

Profile Information

  • Name
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Preferences you choose to provide

Food and Nutrition Data

  • Foods logged
  • Nutrition estimates
  • Calorie information
  • Custom foods and meal templates
  • Related metadata

Technical Information

  • Device type
  • App version
  • Limited session data required for authentication, security, and service operation

We collect only the data necessary to operate and improve the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Authenticate you and manage your account
  • Calculate calorie and nutrition estimates
  • Provide daily logs, summaries, and history
  • Support voice and manual food logging
  • Maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the App

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral tracking, or selling personal information.

3. Data Storage and Security

BitePad stores user data securely in cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Our security measures include:

  • Authentication via AWS Cognito using secure, token-based access
  • Encryption in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Encryption at rest for stored data (including AWS DynamoDB and related services)
  • Strict access controls and least-privilege permissions

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

4. Accounts and Authentication

BitePad requires users to create an account to access core features.

Authentication is handled through AWS Cognito. We do not store plaintext passwords, and credentials are managed using secure authentication protocols.

5. Subscription and Payment Processing

If you subscribe to a paid BitePad plan:

  • Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • We do not receive or store your full payment details (such as credit card numbers).
  • We may receive limited subscription status information necessary to provide access to paid features.

6. Third-Party Services

BitePad does not use third-party advertising networks, marketing trackers, or behavioral analytics services.

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers such as:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and data storage
  • AWS Cognito for authentication
  • Apple App Store and Google Play Store for subscription billing

If additional third-party services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Children's Privacy

BitePad is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to access, update, and delete your personal data.

BitePad provides an in-app account deletion option accessible through the App's Settings. You can also review the process on our Delete Account page.

When you choose to delete your account:

  • Your authentication credentials are removed.
  • Your associated data stored in our systems is permanently deleted, subject to legal or operational retention requirements.
  • Once deletion is complete, your data cannot be recovered.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify you within the App or through other appropriate means.
